This course focuses on the crucial role of a business plan in starting and running a manufacturing business within the textile industry. Often called a "success plan," a well-crafted business plan is essential for any company, regardless of size or sector.
The primary goal of this course is to demonstrate how to calculate the profitability of a textile and clothing production venture, utilizing the preProfit factor to assess the viability of producing shirts and trousers. This methodology is based on a publication by J. Wojciechowski and R. Lisowska.
Aimed at future entrepreneurs in the textile industry, including students, as well as current business owners, the course comprises two parts: theoretical (with exercises) and practical (with an Excel spreadsheet). The theoretical section covers essential business plan elements such as market analysis, marketing, organizational, and financial planning. The practical part includes exercises simulating the creation of a business plan for a clothing company, supported by Excel spreadsheets for profitability calculations. Drawing on the authors' industry and teaching experience, the course guides participants through key aspects of preparing a comprehensive business plan, offering ready-to-use templates for their own ventures.
